Directions

After leaving the Kona International Airport (KOA), turn right on Highway 19, which will merge into Highway 11 at Palani Road. Continue on about 2.5 more miles south past the town of Kailua-Kona, and watch for Puapuaanui Street with stop light. Turn left or up the hill at that signal. At the top of the hill you will find Hualalai Road. Turn Right and look for the 10 MPH signs and for the 4 round blue reflectors on a power pole.) Our Inn is in the middle of that sharp horse shoe curve on the right. There is a lighted lamp post and a sign above the mailbox, "Hale Maluhia Bed & Breakfast".

For our Maile, Pikaki, Makua and Malia Rooms please turn into this concrete driveway in the center of the curve and go clear to the end to the second garage door. The front door will be on the right, porch lights will be on. Please ring the Queen Mary ships bell upon your arrival. on the front porch. Also you may call my cell: 808-896-8937 which is always with me, the Inn is a little expansive so some times I don´t hear the bell if I am fixing something or in our quarters.

For our Banyan Cottage please continue on around and past this driveway, and look for the second mailbox that says "Banyan C". The number on the mailbox is 76-770 Hualalai Road. This is also visible at night. Turn right immediately into the Banyan Cottage parking area. The porch light will be on and the key will be in the door, you can go right in. We will be watching for you. If it is late, we will catch up with you in the morning. It is best to park with the back of the car to the Cottage for better vision in leaving.

→ From Hilo, proceed south toward Kona on Highway 11, passing through 3 stop lights: Kamehameha III, Sea View, Lako Street. Turn up the hill at the 4th stop light, Puapuaanui St. At the top of the hill you will find Hualalai Road. Turn right and very quickly you will see our lamp post lit up with our sign. "Hale Maluhia Bed & Breakfast" above our mail box 76-770 on the right side in the middle of a very sharp curve.

Please call Ken's cell phone for additional directions: 808-896-8937 if needed.
